How long does it take?

It may seem simple at a glance, but designs like this often take more time than expected.

Each line needs to be clean and tightly controlled, and when using light, high-chroma colours for linework instead of solid blacks, it can take more than twice as long.

The paper heart at the bottom required carefully layering multiple shades to create a crumpled texture, and because the design combines several different styles, each section called for a different technique.

From lining to filling to colour adjustments, everything had to be done step by step with attention to detail.
